GPS updates or 'pings' are a function of the hardware, not the software as they are set on the firmware script for each GPS tracker. GPS location ping rates are fully customizable based on your operational needs, ranging from real-time 10-second updates for active vehicle fleets to 24-hour interval pings for long-term equipment storage and asset tracking. Trackem Fleet plans are broken down into ping rates of 2 minutes, 1 minute, 30 seconds and 10 second intervals. For Asset tracking, it can be 1 ping per day, up to 1 ping per hour. Custom ping rates are available upon request but require custom service plan pricing.
