What is GPS?
GPS (Global Positioning System) is a system of satellites orbiting the Earth that provide location information for applications and services that communicate with them. It allows us to map the position of your units or vehicles and manipulate the data for reporting.
 
What is JAVA?
A JAVA application is the type of program that runs on Motorola phones, Blackberry's, and other devices. Our application is a JAVA application. Your device will need to support the loading of JAVA applications to be compatible.
 
What is Trackem®?
Trackem® is a JAVA Application added to the handset features which request the “position” details (data) from the GPS chipset in the wireless phone. This data is transmitted to the Trackem® servers every 2 minutes during a “network ping” and manipulated by servers into legible: Maps, Reports, Distances & Mileage Logs, Speed metrics, Direction, and Location.
 
How come my account hasn’t been set up?
Your dealer must fax in the registration form with all required information filled out. Within 48 hours of Trackem® receiving your application your account will be set up and you and the dealer will be contacted. If it has been 24 hours and you have not heard from a Trackem® representative then contact your dealer or Trackem® at 866-868-7225.
